Mission Statement: To strengthen the community by developing, instituting and operatingcharitable and educational programs and services aimed at improvingthe lives of children and adults in the lehigh valley and thesurrounding communities, with a special emphasis on youth health,fitness, sports and education. Here are some of the key programs we worked on last year: - Program 1: In the tickets for kids program, phantoms charities works with other nonprofits to allocate hockey game tickets for intended purposes where the tickets are often "earned" by the children and their families. for example, tickets may be reward for attendance and reading incentives for students. - Program 2: The grants program empowers other area nonprofit organizations to make a difference in the community by providing grant funding to select lehigh valley-based 501(c)(3) organizations for education or charitable tax exempt purposes that align closely with the mission statement of phantoms charities. - Program 3: The phys ed program provides floor hockey sports equipment and a detailed curriculum to area schools in an effort to encourage students to be active. phantoms charities donates floor hockey equipment including hockey sticks, goals, balls, pucks, cones, jerseys and an organizer hauler, along with a detailed curriculum designed to benefit the entire school population for years to come.
